In the year 2020, Sri Manmath Swain and Sri Om Prakash Behera approached Sai Vision Charitable Trust for a new eye hospital at Angul. The board considered the proposal a team of trustees visited the infrastructure and after analysing all the aspects gave a nod for the institution.
It started operating in oct 2020 and finally got approval in May 2021. It gradually gained momentum with an increased number of patients and surgeries. With time, it acquired new equipment and trained staff. New doctors joined this venture and now it serves the people with an average OPD of about 400 patients and about 300 surgeries per month.
Now it has almost all ophthalmology equipment and is available at affordable cost.
